Lost your plaque? Block it in one click

Misplaced your Google review plaque? Report it as lost from your account: it becomes impossible for anyone else to activate, and you reactivate it in one click if you find it again.

A Google review plaque that goes missing — dropped behind a counter, lost in a move, misplaced during renovation work — is never pleasant. The good news: with Tap2Star, you stay in control. In seconds, from your account, you can report your plaque as lost so no one else can activate it. And if you find it again, you reactivate it in one click.

Block a lost plaque in 3 clicks

  1. Log in to your account and open “My products”.
  2. On the relevant plaque, click “Block this product”.
  3. Choose the reason “Lost”, then confirm.

It's instant. The plaque switches to “lost” status and can no longer be activated.

What happens once the plaque is reported lost

  • No one can activate or reactivate it. It cannot be linked to any account.
  • If someone finds it and scans the QR code, activation is refused. The plaque stays unusable in a third party's hands.
  • Our support cannot issue an activation code while the plaque is reported lost — an extra safeguard against abusive recovery attempts.
  • You can reactivate it at any time from your account.

Found your plaque again?

Nothing could be simpler: in “My products”, choose “Reactivate”. The plaque becomes activatable again and its activation code works once more, as if nothing had happened.

Security that goes further

The “lost” block combines with two other Tap2Star protections: the locked NFC chip (no one can rewrite the plaque's destination) and the activation code (only the rightful owner can link it to their account). Together, these three mechanisms ensure a misplaced plaque can't be hijacked in your place.

A unique feature — for now

To our knowledge, Tap2Star is currently the only one to offer blocking a lost plaque directly from the customer account. It's the kind of detail that makes all the difference the day you need it. Our competitors will probably add it eventually — in the meantime, you're already protected. 😉
