Custom Google review plate

Your logo, your colours, your wording: the same NFC + QR code plate, made in the image of your business. Free quote within one working day, proof approval before production.

What Β« custom Β» actually covers

Expectations vary wildly behind that word. With us, a custom plate can carry your logo, your brand colours, your own wording β€” Β« Rate your visit Β», Β« A review for the house? Β» β€” and of course the destination link of your choice. The structure stays the same: rigid epoxy resin, an NFC chip locked against rewriting, and a printed QR code for phones that do not read contactless. The size can be customised too: 10Γ—10 cm is our standard format, but we also produce 8Γ—8, 12Γ—12, 20Γ—20 β€” and rectangles such as 20Γ—30. Just ask for the one you need.

What must not change is how legible the gesture stays. An overloaded plate, where the logo eats the space and the instruction disappears, collects fewer reviews than a plain one. So we always start from the proven layout β€” phone pictogram, arrow, QR code β€” and fit your identity into it, rather than the other way round.

Customisation also covers the format. Size first: 8Γ—8 for a crowded counter, 12Γ—12 or 20Γ—20 when the plate has to be seen from a distance, a 20Γ—30 rectangle for a window or a reception wall. Then the medium: beyond the square plate, the same artwork produces credit-card-sized cards or key fobs. Many businesses order a consistent set: the plate at the till, cards for the team to hand over.

From quote to delivery, step by step

1. The quote. You describe what you need β€” format, quantity, where the links should point β€” and attach your logo if you have it to hand. We reply within one working day with a priced proposal. No commitment at this stage.

2. The proof. Once the quote is agreed, we send artwork showing the plate exactly as it will be produced. You ask for any changes you want; nothing goes to production without your written approval. This is the step that prevents nasty surprises on an order of a hundred pieces.

3. Production and shipping. Allow three to six weeks between proof approval and delivery, depending on quantity and complexity. The plates arrive ready to activate: you link them to your Google Business profile or the destination of your choice from your account, and they work for life, with no subscription.

Minimum quantities and how pricing works

Customisation involves preparing files and setting up production, so it makes sense from a certain volume upwards. Minimums vary by format β€” around ten units for plates, five for cards, more for event badges. Below that, the standard plate costs considerably less and does exactly the same job.

The unit price falls as quantity rises, since the fixed set-up cost is spread across the run. A network equipping forty outlets pays noticeably less per plate than a single shop ordering ten. That is why a quote is always worked out on real volume rather than a fixed grid.

One practical tip: plan for replacements. A plate goes missing, an outlet opens, a team grows. Ordering a small margin with the first run costs far less than a second set-up six months later for three pieces.

Networks, franchises and multi-site groups

This is where bespoke earns its keep. A network wants an identical plate everywhere β€” same brand, same message β€” but each outlet must point to its own Google listing, otherwise reviews pile up in the wrong place and local rankings never move.

So we produce one piece of artwork and individual encoding: forty plates identical to the eye, forty different destinations. You supply the list of links in a spreadsheet, and each plate ships labelled for its outlet, ready to be placed without any handling.

For groups that open regularly, the artwork is kept on file: a new opening is treated as a repeat order, with no return to the design stage. That is also what keeps a visual consistency over several years, where one-off orders always end up drifting apart.

Bespoke or standard: how to decide

The standard plate is enough in most cases. It is available immediately, costs less, and the customer who sees it at the counter does not wonder whether it matches the house colours: they see a Google logo, they understand, they tap. For a single business that simply wants to collect reviews, it is the rational choice.

Bespoke earns its place when the plate becomes a brand object: a carefully styled hotel where every item follows the identity, a network that wants uniformity, an upmarket salon whose furnishings will not carry a generic accessory. It also earns its place when the destination is not Google β€” an Instagram profile, a booking page, a multi-link page β€” since the artwork must then change anyway.

When in doubt, start standard. You will measure the real flow of reviews over two months, and you will then know whether investing in a custom run is justified β€” and above all, how many units to order.

Frequently asked questions

Can I put my logo next to the Google logo? +
Yes, that is the most common case. The Google logo follows precise usage rules β€” no distortion, no recolouring, clear space respected β€” which we apply to the artwork. You approve the result at the proof stage.
Can I choose a size other than 10Γ—10 cm? +
Yes. The 10Γ—10 is a standard, not a limit: 8Γ—8, 12Γ—12, 20Γ—20, or a 20Γ—30 rectangle if the plate has to be seen from a distance. Just ask for the size you need β€” tell us where the plate will sit and from how far it must be read, and we will advise when quoting.
What file format should I send for my logo? +
A vector file (SVG, PDF, AI, EPS) always gives the best result, since it scales without loss. Failing that, a transparent PNG at least 1000 pixels wide will do. We will tell you at the quote stage whether the file holds up in print.
What is the minimum order? +
Around ten for plates, five for cards, more for badges. Below that, the standard plate costs less for an identical result in review collection.
How long between order and delivery? +
Three to six weeks after proof approval, depending on quantity and complexity. The quote itself goes out within one working day. Tell us if you have a hard deadline, such as an opening or a trade show.
Can each plate point to a different listing? +
Yes. One piece of artwork, individual encoding: that is how networks and franchises work. You supply the list of destinations and each plate ships labelled for its outlet.
Is there a subscription on custom plates? +
No, just as on standard plates. You pay for the run once and it works for life. You can change a plate's destination from your account without reordering.
