Case studies

A Google review plate is only worth what it changes. These pages measure that change at our customers' premises: how many reviews before, how many after, over what period, and what was done in between.

The number of reviews a business receives depends on so many things — its footfall, its team, its season — that a figure taken out of context proves nothing. A "+300%" with no starting point, no duration and no mention of what else changed can be manufactured in an afternoon.

So we take the opposite approach: state where the business started from, what was put in place, how long the measurement ran, and what could have skewed the result. A study that acknowledges its limits can be checked; a study with none asks to be taken on trust.

Every study covers a real business that has given its consent, and links to its Google listing. Anyone can therefore go and count the reviews themselves, and check that the figures add up. That is the only honest way to publish a number: make it verifiable by whoever reads it.

You will not find national chain logos here. Our customers are neighbourhood businesses, and it is their situations that resemble yours: a counter, a queue, a team with no spare time. A result obtained across a hundred outlets would tell you nothing about your own.

What each study contains

The starting point

The number of reviews and the rating on the day of installation, taken from the public Google listing.

What was done

The product fitted, exactly where it was placed, and what the team says to the customer at the till.

The measurement period

The exact period over which the result is observed. No figure is extrapolated to twelve months.

What could have skewed it

Season, building work, a change of team, a parallel campaign: whatever played a part beyond the plate is stated.
