Plaque stolen? Block activation right away

A theft is always a bad moment — and the first reaction is often: “can that person use my plaque?” With Tap2Star, the answer is no. From your account, you report the plaque as stolen and its activation is blocked immediately. The thief is left with a useless object.

Report a theft, right away

1. Open “My products” from your account.
2. On the relevant plaque, click “Block this product”.
3. Choose the reason “Stolen”, then confirm.

The block is instant.

What a theft report triggers

• Activation is immediately blocked. The plaque can no longer be linked to an account.
• The thief can neither activate nor use it. It has no usable value left.
• No activation code can be generated for this plaque, including by our support.
• You'll be able to reactivate it if you ever recover it.

Lost or stolen: what's the difference?

Technically, both blocks protect you the same way: activation by a third party is prevented, and you keep the ability to reactivate. The distinction mainly serves to describe the situation — a simple loss or an actual theft. Theft is treated as an alert, with an unambiguous block.

A stolen plaque becomes unusable

The “stolen” block doesn't work alone. It adds to the locked NFC chip — impossible to rewrite the plaque's destination — and to the activation code that prevents any activation by a stranger. The result: even in the wrong hands, the plaque can't be hijacked, reprogrammed, or reactivated on another account.
